Short Stay (SS) & Short Visit (SV) Programs : Chiba University and 9 Indonesian Sister Universities Chiba University and 9 Indonesian Sister Universities (UI, ITB, UGM, IPB, Unpad, Undip, ITS, Unud, and Unhas) held Short Stay (SS) and Short Visit (SV) Programs to exchange Japanese and overseas students. 千葉大学とインドネシア９協定校：ショートスティー（SS）・ショートビジット（ＳＶ）プログラム 平成24年10月1日～12月9日に、当センターと園芸学研究科と連携して、ショートスティー（ＳＳ）プログラムで、本学のインドネシア協定校であるインドネシア大学、バンドン工科大学、ボゴール農業大学、パジャジャラン大学、ディポネゴロ大学、ガジャマダ大学、スラバヤ工科大学、ウダヤナ大学、ハサヌディン大学計9協定校の大学院生（博士と修士）29名を迎えていた。このプログラムで、各大学院生が本学の環境リモートセンシング研究センター、環境健康フィールド科学センター、大学院園芸学研究科、大学院融合科学研究科、大学院工学研究科の各研究室に70日間配属になり、日本の最先端技術の研究と勉学の体験をしてもらった。また、日本の文化を体で体験してもらうために、着物付け、生け花、書道なども勉強した。また、日本の生活を楽しめるために、サバイバル日本語も勉強して、大変よい評判をうけた。滞在期間中に、第5回インドネシア日本共同学術シンポジウム（IJJSS 2012）も平成24年10月25日～28日に開催して、ＳＳプログラムの大学院生も各自の研究成果を発表して、よい体験をした。シンポジウム期間中に、富士山とレーダドーム博物館にも訪問して、日本の気象観測の歴史を学んだ。ここＳＳプログラムと同時に、インドネシアの3教育研究機関（インドネシア大学、ウダヤナ大学、インドネシア宇宙航空局）とマレーシア・マルチメディア大学に5名の千葉大学大学院生（日本人学生）をショートビジット（ＳＶ）プログラムで派遣して、小型衛星、無人航空機、都市計画などの分野の研究教育交流をしている。（ヨサファット）

The 1st SAR Workshop
Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS) of Josaphat Laboratory held The 1st Workshop on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Image Processing on 27 November 2012. This workshop attended by 29 graduate school students of our 9 sister universities, and researchers from Malaysia, Iran, Nepal etc. 第１回合成開口レーダ（SAR）画像信号処理ワークショップ ２０１２年１１月２７日、千葉大学環境リモートセンシング研究センターのマルチメディアルームにて第１回合成開口レーダ(ＳＡＲ)画像信号処理ワークショップを開催した。このワークショップには、インドネシア９協定校からの大学院生（２９）の他に、マレーシア、イラン、ネパールなどの留学生、国内のリモートセンシング関連会社の社員などが参加した。このワークショップでは、ヨサファット准教授がＳＡＲシステムの設計開発から画像の処理である生データから応用まで詳細に説明した。この第１回のワークショップの記念として、微分干渉合成開口レーダ（DInSAR）関連の書籍も出版した。このワークショップの後半に、この書籍を使用して、ALOS PALSARデータを使用して、参加者と一緒に富士山における標高データの試作などを行った。この手法が、詳細な地殻変動の監視、災害被害地域の把握などに活用できると期待した。
