Josaphat Laboratory, Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS), Chiba University is supported by Ministry of Education and Technology of Japan to develop two microsatellites to observe ionosphere and global land deformation.
In the future, we hope could investigate and observe the precursors of Earthquake using these two satellites. We also develop large scale unmanned aerial vehicle for ground experiments of microwave sensors, including GNSS-Reflectometer, GNSS-Radio Occultation (RO), Circularly Polarized Synthetic Aperture Radar (CP-SAR) etc. These sensors will be implemented to monitor disasters in the future.
